Obituary of Richard P. Buelow

Rick passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 5th, 2018. Rick was born in Minneapolis, MN to Nancy Carriere Swenberger and Richard (Dik) Buelow. He attended Osseo Senior High School, where he met his wife Ruth. Rick was active in band and Marching band, instilling in him the love of music. Rick graduated in 1980 and went on to begin a long career in the IT field. Rick worked in IT, but his first love was music. Playing music, recording music, reading about how music recording is done consumed his free time. Rick’s email address said it all, rocker5150@gmail.com. Rick performed in many groups, supported even more groups through his recording studio and presence at their gigs, and Rick finally lived his dream by performing in a KISS tribute band called 7 Inch Leather Heels. Rick had a generous spirit, a big and ready smile, and a positive energy and attitude that could not be missed. Rick is survived by his loving wife Ruth, children Lauren (Mike) Greeley, Alex (Rachael) Chuba, Kirsten Chuba and Greg Harvey. Rick also has two grandchildren, Christian Harvey and Lucas Greeley. Rick’s surviving family also includes his father, Richard (Katie) Buelow, and siblings Chris (Renee) Buelow, Tim (Jill) Buelow, Mark (Sue) Swenberger, Julie (Greg) Olson, Kelly Swenberger, and Jason Buelow. Rick’s life was blessed with many nieces and nephews and a great niece and nephew. Celebration of Rick’s life will be held on April 29th, 2018 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Ramsey, MN.
