Obituary of Margaret N Christensen

Margaret (Muggs) N Christensen, age 93 passed away on March 6, 2018 at Parmly on the Lake, Chisago City, MN. She was born to Peter and Hazel Nei in Kenmare, ND. Preceding her in death, daughter, Ruth Ann; husband, Leonard (Chris) Christensen; granddaughter, Shelley Gallagher; grandson, Anthony (Tony) Elkerton; sister, Marian Lind and brother, Cletus Nei. Her sister, Evelyn LaBonne, passed April 17, 2018. She is survived by daughter, Rita Elkerton (Lance), Chisago City, MN; son, Richard Lewis Christensen (Amy), Fridley, MN and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren She retired in 1984 at the age of 59. Her journey with Ma Bell started in Kenmare, ND, Drake, ND, Minot, ND, Minneapolis, MN and ended at the Information Office in Crystal, MN. She liked to travel, play cards and spend time with her many friends. She enjoyed life to its fullest and had no regrets of things undone. Her ashes will be buried at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis, MN. Memorials will be donated to help with the research for the disease of Dementia/Alzheimers and the Firefighters Hall and Museum. A private “Celebration of Life” is planned for Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, 1-3 p.m. at the Firefighters Hall and Museum, 664 22nd Ave NE Mpls, MN 55418.
