Obituary of Reuben Gustave Kroll

Reuben Gustave Kroll born November 22, 1929 died peacefully March 14, 2018 with the love of his life at his side following a week surrounded by family sharing memories, singing, praying and smooches from his Barbie. Reuben graduated from Proctor High School in 1948. Spent 2 years in the Army, worked over 40 years for the DM&IR, was a volunteer fire chief in Munger, MN, drove school bus for Proctor and was a faithful member of Forbes UMC in Proctor. He was preceded in death by his parents Gustaf & Johanna Kroll, daughter Jane Kroll & son Steven Kroll. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Kroll; Daughter Suzanne (Michael) Johnson, Denny (Lilly) Welsand & Sandra (Terry) Westlund. Grandchildren; Shawn Mehling, Joshua Mehling, Jeremy (Jamie) Kroll, and Kayla (Alec) Erdmann; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He never said goodbye without also saying I love you. Goodbye and we love you. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 3-5 pm at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 19th at Forbes United Methodist Church, 33 Grove Street, Proctor, MN.
