Obituary of Gary Francis Wietman

Gary Francis Wietman, Sr., 78, of Esko, MN died peacefully Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in his home. He was born July 19, 1939 in Cramer, MN to Lawrence and Sophie Wietman. He attended Morgan Park High School until enlisting in the US Army. He retired from the City of Duluth in 1997. Gary enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing cards, shuffleboard and going south, to Arizona, in the winter. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Kelly and Lawrence. Gary is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gayle Twining; children, Gary, Jr. (Tina), Daniel (Lori), and Michael (Jennifer); grandchildren, Emily, Amber, Kirsten, and Nicole; great-grandchild, Kye; brothers, George and Herb. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth.
