Obituary of George A. Stanley

age 92, of Golden Valley, MN, passed away peacefully on Oct. 26, 2014. Born and raised in Pequot Lakes, MN. Served in the Navy during WWII. Owned a successful store design business in downtown Mpls. Devoted husband & father, he will be remembered for his kind heart, eternal optimism, and love of life. Preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, parents Burton & Clara Stanley, siblings Albert, Christina, & Beatrice. Survived by siblings Esther Swartout & Oliver (Helen), sons Mark (Lydia) and Michael (Christina), grandson Henry. Memorial Service Nov. 6th, 11 am, visitation one hour prior, at Parkway United Church of Christ, 3120 Washburn Ave N Mpls. 612-522-2982. Memorials preferred to Parkway UCC building fund. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery TBD.
