Obituary of Jeffrey Harold Gust

Gust, Jeffrey Harold age 24, of Plymouth, MN, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on November 17th, 2014. Jeff will always be loved and greatly missed by his parents, Ken and Jean Gust, best friend and brother Tony Gust (Kelsy Lane), grandparents Harold and Marcie Gust, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He graduated from Armstrong High School in Plymouth MN, and then from Bradley University in Peoria IL with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, followed by his employment at Robbinsdale Rehabilitation and Care Center as a Registered Nurse. Jeff's smile matched his heart in that when both showed, they were beaming and would warm a room instantly. He followed his heart in every endeavor and it led to him sharing it with those most in need in his vocation as a nurse. With that smile he would make every illness a little less painful, every let down a little less disappointing, and every minor success feel like reaching the summit of a mountain. The smile often preceded the most cleverest remarks ever heard, a sly grin would come across his face, and he would unleash a devastatingly funny comment that would change the dynamic of the situation. Jeff's smile and heart only paled in comparison to his passion. That passion manifested at all occasions, when he was coming to the aid of his friends, fervently defending them out of unconditional love, or when he was battling with those friends while playing games. His heart overflowed with warmth, and those around him were lucky enough to absorb it while they could, including friends, family, and a world full of brothers. Family is a term that meant more to Jeff than just blood that included his Sig Nu fraternity brothers, his friends that he embraced so intensely that they quickly became brothers, and above all else, his best friend & brother Tony. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 25th at Zion Lutheran Church, 241 5th Ave N, Hopkins, MN 55343. Visitation will be at 9:00 am, followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church. We want to thank everyone for the amazing outpouring of love and support during this trying time. Published on November 20, 2014
