Obituary of Stephen R. Brown

Stephen R. Brown, age 64 of Superior formerly of the Two Harbors area passed away peacefully at home with his wife at his side on Saturday, November 22, 2014. He was born March 6, 1950 in St. Paul, MN to Ralph & Charlotte Brown. Stephen was a 1968 graduate of While Bear Lake High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Vietnam Era. Stephen was a truck driver for various companies in the Duluth-Superior area and was employed by Homeland Security at the Duluth Airport, retiring in 2006. On February 17, 2006 Stephen married Shirley A. DeSchane. After retiring Stephen's next love was teaching fire arm safety. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and also taught the DNR Hunter Safety Program. Stephen was a proud owner of Certified Instructor Inc., and he also was a proud member of the Patriot Guard. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Sean Brown of Two Harbors, Jeana (Todd) Torricer of Two Harbors, Nathan Olson of Phoenix, Chad Olson of Phoenix and Haley Scott of Superior; two granddaughters, Joebea Torricer & Kaitlyn Scott; two sisters, Linda (Richard) Tyler of Ploa Cencia, Belize and Buffie (Gordy) Eicher of Spicewood, TX; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his two fur kids, Jackson and Oliver. The family would like to thank Essentia Health Hospice for their care and support. Gathering of family and friends from 9am until 12noon with a Prayer Service at 10am followed by a reception, Saturday, November 29th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth 218-624-5200.
