Obituary of Linda J. Welter

Age 72 of Minneapolis, MN passed away Monday, June 29, 2015. Survived by children Basil (Sharon), Samuel (Lacey), Elizabeth (David), and Abraham; brothers Philip (Joyce) and Paul; 11 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by mother Catharen, father William, and sister Margaret. Extraordinary nurse for 27 years. World citizen who fought for social justice. Fierce and conspiratorial grandmother. United family and friends with tireless enthusiasm, razor-sharp wit, and hot coffee. Always ready for a crossword puzzle or a road trip to the mountains and the national parks. Linda never pined for the 'good old days' -- she looked forward, always forward. Linda will be greatly missed. Memorial Service 10AM, Monday July 6 at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave S. Memorials preferred to Minnesota Landscape Arboretum or The National Park Service.
