Obituary of Daniel Patrick O’Neill

Daniel "Dan" Patrick O'Neill, 55 of Superior passed listening to the Packers win at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth surrounded by his family on Dec. 18, 2016. He was mostly known by his nickname, Hoss. Daniel was born May 2, 1961 in Superior to Thomas and Blanche (Birch) O'Neill. He was born and raised in Superior. He went to school at Superior Senior High School. On Dec. 1, 2014 he finally married his wife Mary. Daniel had been sick for the past five years but that never slowed him down. He enjoyed to work on his wood work in his garage. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and Wisconsin Badger fan. Anyone who knew him knew he loved to talk and he had the ability to make anyone smile. He was loved by all who knew him and he will forever be in our hearts. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and wife and their four fur-babies. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Mary O'Neill; his children, Samantha (Matthew) O'Neill, Jake O'Neill, and Cassandra (Jeffrey) O'Neill. He is also survived by the mother of his children Pamela O'Neill; his step-children Sarah Davis and Dayelle Davis; his brothers Kevin (Geneen) O'Neill, Mark (Sue) O'Neill, and Thomas O'Neill; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Middleman; and several nephews and nieces.
