Theresa Wojtkowiak

Obituary of Theresa Wojtkowiak

Theresa Wojtkowiak, 88 of Duluth, received her wings and entered into eternal life, May 30, 2017. Theresa was born October 30, 1928, in Kettle River, MN, to Nicholas and Elizabeth Bukowski. She was the sixth child of 12 children. She has one surviving brother, Stanley Bukowski. Theresa attended school and grew up on the family farm where she loved all animals, especially her favorite cow, named "Molly." Theresa married Clarence Wojtkowiak June 19, 1954, in Duluth. They were married for 62 years. Both loved to go out and listen and dance to Polka music, especially the Chmielewski Fun Time Band. Theresa loved to cook and bake her many homemade dishes for her family and friends, but very seldom gave the recipe. If by chance she agreed, she would always leave out one or two ingredients for the fun of it. Theresa retired from St. Mary's Hospital after 25 years as a CNA. She loved her work, taking care of the sick. She was very loving, kind and a compassionate person. "We will remember Mom for her love and devotion to her family and to her home as a special place where family would always celebrate the holidays." Theresa is survived by her husband, Clarence; three sons, Steven (Julie) Wokowiak, Kenny (Theresa), Jeff (Cindy); one daughter, Janet; three grandchildren, Amy, Bryant, and Jeffery; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Aubrey, London, and Lily; and two special golden doodles, Angel and Bolt. Theresa will be truly missed by her family. The family would like to thank Dr. Gilbertson, St. Luke's Hospice (Debbie), and all the staff at Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living for the excellent care they provided to Theresa. At Theresa's request, a private family service will be held.
