Obituary of Terry Leigh

Leigh, Terry Of Minneapolis, MN, departed this life on May 3, 2016. She was born on September 20, 1954 to Albert D. & Marcia K. Carr. She attended Bloomington, MN public schools, and later graduated from St. Mary’s College in Minneapolis, as a nurse. She first worked at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis, then went to work for the University of MN, as a pediatric bone marrow transplant nurse for almost 30 years where she retired from in 2015. Terry loved her family, job, outdoors and had a passion for her beautiful pottery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Marcia Carr, sister, Julie; and her significant other of 20 years, Kevin. Terry leaves behind to cherish her precious memory her daughter, Shannon; 5 grandchildren, Houston (Kayahna), Charles, Larry, Latrell and NaJarea; 2 great-grandchildren, Addison and Corey; sister, Jodie (Jeff), Vickie (Gordy); brother, Scott; niece, Leah; aunts, cousins and many loving friends. Terry will truly be missed as she devoted her life around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 10, 6:30 PM with visitation one hour prior at Cremation Society of MN, St. Paul Chapel, 1979 Old Hudson Rd., 651-789-0404.
