Obituary of Louis Dubla

Louis "Louie" Dubla passed away on September 1, 2019 at Solvay Hospice House. Louie was born June 29, 1935 in Duluth, MN to Mary and Charles Dubla. He was the youngest of twelve children. Louie worked for Taystee Bread for 32 years and 20 years for J.L. Carlson. He was a Canosia resident his entire life. Louie was a Canosia Township officer for 41 years and was named Leader of the Year in 2002. During his time as a township officer, he guided his town from road planks on mud filled roads to state of the art wastewater collection systems. His constant commitment to improvement is what made Louie a township leader. He had also been a volunteer fireman for 23 years. Louie is survived by his wife, Carole; Son, Scott and daughter Lisa (Wayne) Boucher; grandchildren, Katie and Jake Dubla and Jordan and Nick Boucher; many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Hospice and Solvay Hospice House for their care and compassion. A celebration of life will held Sunday, Sept, 16th from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Canosia Town Hall, 4896 Midway Road.
