Obituary of Francis R. Jasper

Jasper, Francis R. "Fran" 95 of Hopkins died December 6, 2014. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Idell. Survived by children; Denice Jasper, Robert Jasper, and Geri (Robert) Nicol, 9 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren. Born in Albertville, MN, he grew up in North Minneapolis where he graduated from St. Anne's School and then North High School. Fran served his country as a member of the US Navy Seabees during WWII. He retired from the Minneapolis Public School System after over 25 years as a maintenance engineer. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed baseball, softball & bowling; golf & fishing, were his passions after retirement. He will be missed for his wonderful sense of humor, kind spirit and love for his family. We know he is happy and at peace with his eight siblings, many friends and loving wife. He is looking over a four-leaf clover with the Father in heaven. Private family memorial service and interment.
