Obituary of Suzanne Retta Wige

Wige, Suzanne Retta (Miller) age 46 of Maple Grove, MN passed away December 18th, 2014 after complications related to her long and courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy. She was surrounded by her loving family. Suzanne was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Earl and Retta Miller, and her mother-in-law, Helen Wige, and cousin, Dayton Rodvik. Suzanne is survived by her husband, Tim of 20 years; mother, Jofy (Rodvik) Miller of Maple Grove, MN; father, Dick Miller (Shirley Raze) of Brooklyn Park, MN; brothers, Steve Miller of Maple Grove, MN, Tom (Sue) Miller of Maple Grove, MN; father and mother-in-law, Harvey and Marjorie Wige of Dunnellon, FL; brother-in-law, Al Wige of Brooklyn Center; sisters-in-law, Shelley (Wige) and Tom Mintum of Wichita Falls, TX, Marie (Wige) and Drew Peterson of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Jenny (Wige) and Darel Murphy of Ham Lake. Suzanne was the best auntie to Nathan, Reed, and Gavin Miller, Chris Miles, Kyle, Ellie, and Levi Petersen, Amber (Wige) Carlson, Zach Wige, Hope (Kilmer) Whitson, Joye (Kilmer) Lamme, Abby, Anabel, Amelia and Adalyn Murphy. Suzanne loved all of her uncles, aunts, many cousins and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. Suzanne was a 1986 graduate of Osseo High School and met her husband Tim while attending nursing school in 1993. Her 25 year nursing career was spent between Northridge Care Center in New Hope, MN, and Berkshire Residence in Osseo, MN. Suzanne was known for her high energy, and was a fun and caring person who loved being outdoors, especially at the family cabin on Smith Lake in Garrison, MN. She absolutely loved to fish and float on "floaties". She loved campfires, and simply relaxing and having fun with family and friends. She cherished these times and looked forward to every summer at the cabin with the official start each Memorial Day Weekend. Suzanne was loved by all whom she came into contact with. She was a gifted person with a special personality that was recognized by all. She had a sense of humor that was second to none! A special thank you to the outstanding doctors and nurses at North Memorial Medical Center that took great care of our precious Suzanne. Also to Chaplain Greg Bodin who provided such comfort to us during this very sad and difficult time.
