Obituary of Wayne P. Boniface

Wayne P. Boniface, 76, of Duluth, Minn., previously of Frederic, Wis., died peacefully at home on Dec. 20, 2014 surrounded by his family. Wayne was born on Aug. 15, 1938 in Toronto, Canada to Edward and Katherine Boniface. He was a graduate of Etobicoke Collegiate High School in Toronto. In 1961 he moved to Centuria, Wis., where he met Kathie Boniface, his wife of 52 years. Wayne worked a wide variety of jobs over his lifetime, spending most of his career employed as Sales Manager at the Inter-County Cooperative Publishing Association, a newspaper publishing company located in Frederic, Wis. - a job he found very rewarding. While employed there he was involved in many community events and fundraisers. While living in Illinois, Wayne was involved with the Jaycees, serving as president of the Grayslake Illinois Chapter. He was also a member of the Libertyville Masonic Lodge. Wayne was always quick with a joke and was known for his wit. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed making them laugh. He enjoyed helping others, reaching out to assist anyone in need. He will be missed by his family, many friends and neighbors who knew they could count on Wayne to help with anything. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Don and Ted, and his infant son Daniel. He is survived by his loving wife Kathie; son David (Jane) Boniface; three grandchildren, David Jr., Jordan, and Austin; brother Jack and sister Ivy. Wayne is also survived by an extended family of friends and relatives.
