Obituary of Beryl G. Gilberg

Beryl G. Gilberg, 85, of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Viewcrest Nursing Home. Beryl was born in Duluth, MN on December 28, 1928 to John and Elinore (Hagadorn) Aaberg. She was a 1947 graduate of Denfeld High School. On June 7, 1952 Beryl was united in marriage to Derry O. Gilberg. Outside of the home Beryl was employed with Maurice’s as well as Maurice’s Bridal Shop. Later she owned and operated Beryl’s Custom Bridal Shop for a number of years. After retiring, Beryl enjoyed wintering with her husband in the Florida Keys. She was a talented seamstress and an active member of Hillside United Methodist Church where she served on many committees. Beryl loved her family and was a friend to everyone. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her son John and sister Mary. Beryl is survived by her husband Derry; sons David and Tim; grandchildren, Cassandra (fiancé Brandon) and Jesse as well as many extended family members and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Viewcrest Nursing Home for the great care they provided Beryl. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 am until the 11 am memorial service on Friday, January 2, 2015 in Hillside United Methodist Church 1801 Piedmont Ave. Duluth, MN.
