Obituary of Miriam Hazzard

Hazzard, Miriam The Lord called one of His best prayer warriors home. Miriam Hazzard, age 74, went to be with Jesus December 27th, 2014. Miriam graduated from the University of Minnesota and earned her Master's Degree at Wayne State University. Upon graduation, she worked as a Registered Nurse, then as Director of Nursing at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, where she eventually served as Dean of Health Careers and Sciences. Miriam loved her Lord and was devoted to Christian missions and causes her whole life. She also took great joy from being out in nature and bird watching. Preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Millie Hazzard. Survived by her sister, Beth A. Richardson (William) and her niece and nephews: Heather Clancy Collins (Joseph), Stephen Patrick Clancy (Elena Candelario), Colin Timothy Clancy (Lydia Terrill) and great nephew and niece, Conor Terrill Clancy and Caeleigh Teigan Clancy. Suggestion for memorials: Samaritan's Purse; Feed my Starving Children: where Miriam loved to serve and brought her much joy. Service will be held at 10:00 am at Maranatha Care Center in Brooklyn Center on Wed., December 31.
