Obituary of Faith S. Ross

Beloved Wife, Mother and Teacher age 91 of St. Paul passed away peacefully , surrounded by family, December 29, 2014. Born in Buffalo, MN. Graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in St. Paul and received her B.A. from College of St. Catherine and Master's Degree from University of St. Thomas. Faith opened one of the first Montessori kindergarten schools in the U.S. with her friend, Laura McGinnity. Preceded in death by parents, Earl and Grace; husband, Marvin; siblings, Marcella, James, Catherine (Sr. Anne Joachim, CSJ), Thomas, and Patrick; great-grandsons James and Anthony. Survived by sons, Jon, Tom, and Pat; daughters, Cathy (Bruce), Mary (Jon), Sue, and Jane (Jerry); grandchildren, Don, Carrie, Adriane (Andy) and Andy; great grandchildren, Tianna, Shawneese, DeAndre, Joe and Cayden; great-great grandchildren, Shawn and Kerionna; many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Faith loved mentoring all children, especially her own. She was devoted to making her house a home, using all her talents including baking and gardening. Visitation Thursday, Jan. 8th, 5 to 8 pm at Little Sisters of the Poor, 330 South Exchange St., St. Paul. Memorial Mass Friday, Jan. 9th, 10:30 am at Little Sisters of the Poor with 9:30 am visitation. Interment St. Timothy's Cemetery, Maple Lake summer 2015. Memorials preferred to the Little Sisters of the Poor or Our Lady of Peace Hospice.
