Obituary of Roger Carlson

Carlson, Roger Lifetime resident of Minneapolis and suburbs. Died Dec. 30 at age 80 after a series of health issues. Preceded in death by parents, Oliver and Emma (Olson) Carlson. Survived by wife, Phyllis (Rosenbush) Carlson; sons, Steven and Daniel (Melissa); granddaughters, Emily and Jessica; and brother, Vernon (Ruth). Attended West High School. Served in the U.S. Army in Germany following the Korean conflict. Started working delivering newspapers, worked for Fairmont Foods, built homes and was owner/manager of rental property. In younger days, raced modified stock cars, enjoyed hunting and fishing trips. Celebration of Life Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at The Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. So., Edina. Private burial Fort Snelling 1:00 PM. Memorials preferred to The Salvation Army.
