Obituary of Arlene Halberg

Arlene (Kallberg) Halberg, 95, of Esko, passed away Jan. 1, 2015, in Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital. Arlene was born Nov. 24, 1919, in Duluth to Edward and Alma Angerman. She attended East Junior High School and graduated from Central High School. Arlene married Walter Kallberg in 1939. She retired from Northern Photo and later married Mel Halberg in 1987. They spent 12 years wintering in Harlingen, Texas. Arlene was preceded in death by Walter in 1975, and Mel in 2002; her parents; brother John; and sisters Marie and Edna. She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Bill) Niemi; sons Larry (Barb), Dale, and Bill (Lila) Kallberg; and seven grandchildren. A special thank you to granddaughter Jill Johnson for her love and visits. There will be no service at this time.
