Charles Stutz

Obituary of Charles F. Stutz

Stutz, Charles F., Jr. Jan. 10, 1917 - Jan. 9, 2015 Just shy of 98! What a guy! Born in Philadelphia, PA to Julia and Charles F. Stutz. Preceded in death by brother, Roland, sister Emma and wife Katherine. Survived by son, Keith and daughter Christine Nina. A career Nabisco man, Charles began in 1937 as an office boy and retired as Plant Manager for Cream of Wheat in 1983. Married in 1940, enlisted in the Army Air Corp. in 1943 and was a pilot until 1946. Charles and Kay returned to Philadelphia where Keith was born. There followed numerous moves until Christine's birth in New York, and a final transfer to Minneapolis in 1968 capped a successful career. Charles was an avid crossword solver, golfer, poker player and "They don't call me 'Fast Eddie' Felson for nothing" pool player, but his favorite sport was steel tipped darts. Team Captain of The Stutz Bearcats, Charles was past President and President Emeritus of The Twin City Darts Association. He was a proud member and always enjoyed the camaraderie of the game. A loving husband, the best father ever, and a friend and mentor to many, Charles' good nature, great sense of humor and positive outlook on life will be sorely missed.
