Carol Allen

Obituary of Carol A Allen

Carol A (Eide) Allen, 71, of Duluth died unexpectedly at home Friday, January 9th, 2015 with her husband of nearly 50 years at her side. Carol was born March 12, 1943 in Duluth to Albert & Anna Eide. She married Virgil E. Allen on June 8, 1965. Carol dedicated her life to Jehovah God on May 8, 1968 and lived to fulfill that dedication until her death. She was an avid student of the scriptures and devoted close to 25 years to the full time Bible education work. Nothing made her light up more than to help others find the answer to their questions about the Bible. Her greatest love was her family and friends, spoiling them all with her fabulous cooking and encouraging them to dream big. She had just fulfilled one of her own dreams of showing her grandson London and was already planning her next trip with her granddaughters, just days before her death. She spun her passion for cooking and entertaining into a career of gourmet catering being owner of RSVP Catering until her retirement in 2010. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Albert & Anna Eide and her sisters Karen and Alberta. She is survived by her husband, Virgil, children Debora (David) Joyce and Eleanor Baughman and three grandchildren, Spencer, Allison and Sarah. Carol would want to be remembered for the way she lived her life and her hope for the future when sickness and death would be no more (Rev. 21:3, 4). Gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 pm until the 3 pm memorial service on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
