Obituary of Darlene Ruby Foster

Darlene Foster, age 77, resident of The Country Manor in Sartell, died peacefully after a long battle with cancer on January 17th, 2015. Darlene was born January 25th , 1937 to the late Joseph and Florence Chandler in Randall, Minnesota. She graduated from Little Falls High School. She was united in marriage to John Bellamy on October 24, 1958. Together, they lived in Coon Rapids, Minnesota where they owned a gas station. They then moved to Lincoln, Minnesota and operated "The Stop" until 1981. Darlene eventually moved to New Mexico, where she worked as a caretaker for many years. She eventually married her second husband, Douglas Parker, June 23rd, 1989 and spent many loving years with him until his passing in 1995. She married her third husband, Rufus Foster on February 7, 1997 and continued to live in New Mexico until his death in 2006. Darlene moved back to Minnesota to be closer to her daughter and lived in Melrose for two years until her move to The Country Manor Villas in Sartell. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxilliary and the Sunset Club of New Mexico. She loved volunteering and was a devout servant of the Lord. She is preceded in death by Parents, Joseph and Florence Chandler; Husbands, John Bellamy, Douglas Parker, Rufus Foster; Brothers, Donald and Clifford; Sisters, June, Joan, MaryBeth, and Gwendolyn. She will be deeply missed by children, Imo (Mike) Kalla, Chet (Paula) Bellamy; grandchildren, April, Russell, and David Powell; Brooke and Paige Bellamy; great grandchildren, Ethan, Alex, and Robert Many nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends. A Celebration of Life is being held at The Country Manor Chapel in Sartell, MN, Monday, February 9th at 2pm.
