Obituary of Nicholas John Cords

Cords, Nicholas John. Age 85 of White Bear Lake died on January 21, 2015. Nick was born on July 11, 1929, in Mankato, MN. Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Lauretta, sister Joan (Cords) Sahli, and son Jim. Nick taught American history at Lakewood Community (Century) College until his retirement in 1993. He was a beloved teacher, avid musician, and committed supporter of the arts, and he played in the Century College Concert Band for over twenty-five years. Survived by wife Maggie; sister Betty; sons John (Tamara), Nick, and Dan (Jane); granddaughters Asha, Aoife, and Kiran; and many deeply valued relatives and friends. Visitation at 10:00 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January 26, at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 3495 Victoria Street North, Shoreview, MN, 55126.
