Obituary of James Maki

James Maki, 74, of Eveleth, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015. He was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Ely, to Uno and Katherine (Peyla) Maki. Jim loved fishing and hunting and had a great sense of humor. James is survived by his brother, Curtiss (Shirley) Maki of Aurora; nephew, Curtiss (Sherry) Maki of Aurora; nieces, Michele (Chad) Houle of Maryland, and Sheila French of Daytona, Fla.; stepson, James (Melissa) Sundstrom of Park Falls, Wis..; grandson, Landon Sundstrom; and special friend, a Shih Tzu, Chewbaca. He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert Maki; the love of his life, Jill Sundstrom; and stepson, Danial “Sonny” Sundstrom.
