Obituary of Steven Todd McMillen

Steven Todd McMillen, age 46, passed away at the University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC) on February 8, 2015, surrounded by loving family. He fought courageously for 10 months, waiting for organ transplants. Steve was born to Jack and Judy McMillen in Davenport, IA on October 6, 1968. He married Alison Ronn in 2007 and the couple resided in Roseville, MN. Besides his parents, Jack and Judy, he is survived by his beloved wife Alison; his son Tyler; his brother David (Kelley) and twin brother Douglas; 11 nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Lila Ronn; brother-in-law, Stuart Ronkainen (Jill); and Tyler's mother, Tyna Hetrick. Steve graduated from Anoka High School in 1987. He attended St. Cloud State University and Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He was last employed at Federal Cartridge, Anoka, MN. The family gives special thanks to the compassionate staff at UMMC and at the Lake Ridge Golden Living Center for all the care and support given to Steve. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, 519 Oak Grove St., Minneapolis. A reception will follow. A graveside service will be held in late July at the Town of Lakeside Cemetery, Poplar, WI, near Steve's favorite hunting site.
