Obituary of Genevieve Mary Coyne

Genevieve Mary Coyne, age 56, of Minneapolis, entered into rest and peace on February 18, 2015. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 9, 1958. She formerly resided in Massapequa and Yonkers, New York. After graduating from Columbia University, she worked as a freelance editor. She later moved to her beautiful home in South Minneapolis, MN where she was well known to many for her spectacular gardens. Her green thumb and creativity brought much life and joy to her neighborhood. Genevieve was a kind, loving soul who cared deeply for animals. She loved spending time with her precious dogs at the dog park where she made many dear friends. Preceded in death by parents Emma (“Betty”) Coyne (Wilson) and Richard Coyne; Precious Dogs Caesar, Katie, Sarah, Jackson, Andrew, Brian “BBB,” Patrick, Cosmo, and Comet. Left to cherish her memories are siblings Patricia Coyne Dunn (Dayton), Elizabeth Coyne (Jeff Meyer), and Richard Coyne (Cathy); Nieces and Nephews Sha-sun Nashida “Bradley,” Genevieve Burt “Gigi,” and Emma Burt (Blake Ryan); Precious Kitty Rosie; Many other relatives and friends.
