Obituary of Mindy M. Klauer

Klauer, Mindy M. Age 58, of Fridley, passed away peacefully on Feb. 18 from complications of ovarian cancer. Mindy taught kids to love reading for more than 30 years as a Library Media Specialist with the Mounds View School District, most recently at Island Lake ES. She was a thoughtful, generous, and loving wife, mother, friend, sister, and daughter. Mindy is survived by her loving husband Richard; daughter Sarah Klauer (Marc Shinn-Krantz); son Neal Klauer; parents Warren and Jan Melles; siblings Mary (Al) Hadler, Mike (Kate) Melles, and Mark (Theresa) Melles; and many other friends and relatives. The family is grateful to Minnesota Oncology, J.A. Wedum Hospice, and Mercy Hospital for the quality care Mindy received. Memorial service on Saturday 2/28 at 10 am at Central Lutheran Church, 333 S 12th St., Mpls. (612-870-4416). Visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials preferred to MOCA, Gilda's Club, or Island Lake ES.
