Obituary of Margaret L. Sander

Sander, Margaret L. Age 96, of Edina, MN. Passed away on February 21, 2015. She was born Sept. 21, 1918 at home on the farm in Stockholm, SD. She was Valedictorian of her High School class. On Nov. 30, 1940, she married Donald Sander in Owatonna. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee for 11 years before moving to Minneapolis. Margaret loved to make quilts. She led the quilting circle for two decades at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and also made them for her grandkids. She enjoyed flowers and also was a fine bridge player. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Sander; grandchildren, Maki Pirie and Jimmy Sander. She is survived by two sons, Allen of Dallas and Dean of Burnsville; a daughter, Barbara Pirie of Fiji Island; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will held at 7500 York Coop in Edina on April 10th at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to N.C. Little Hospice, 7019 Lynmar Ln., Edina, MN 55435.
