Obituary of John Pliml
John Pliml, 95, of Duluth, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 in Essentia Health.
John was born in Virginia, Minnesota on July 25, 1919 to Frank and Antonia (Hahulek) Pliml. He worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps for a couple of years before serving his country in the US Army during World War II. John worked for Diamond Tool for over 30 years. During his retirement he spent several winters in Arizona hiking and golfing. John will be remembered for both his strength as well as his hardworking nature.
He is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn; son William; daughter Marilyn; his parents and 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
John is survived by his children, Janet McDowell, Jerry (Nancy) Asperhiem, Dale (Jaon) Asperhiem, Brad (Judy) May; grandchildren, Christine, Jon and Dean; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Tyler, April and Melanie; sister Betty Pliml as well as many extended family members and friends.
