Obituary of William H. Ganz

William H. Ganz, (Lt. Col. USMC, Ret.), age 77, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2015. A loving husband, father and grandfather. Survived by Jeri, his wife of 51 years; children, Mark (Kimberly) and Katrina (Andrew Marchese); nephews, William Burns (Heather) and John Burns (Liz); and grandchildren Greta, William, Alec, Stella, Alison, Vito and Sean. He served a twenty-two year distinguished career in the United States Marine Corp and a successful post military career in the private sector. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time at the cabin with his family. He was active in advancing the missions of the Burnsville Rotary Club where he was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow and 360 Communities where he was a Spirit of Caring Leadership Award recipient. He was a tireless advocate for the underprivileged and worked diligently in his retirement years on their behalf. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
