Obituary of Linda Keavy

Linda (Housker) Keavy, 74, of Edina, Minn., passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Walker Methodist Health Center in Minneapolis. She was born on May 5, 1940, to Arnold and Gorda (Olson) Housker of Spring Grove, Minn. On April 25, 1964, she married Ronald Keavy at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. They resided in Minneapolis and later Edina. For several years, she worked at the University of Minnesota’s Boynton Health Service and Athletics Department as a secretary. Known for her great laugh, kind heart and gentle soul, Linda always found ways to make those around her feel special and loved. She loved playing cards, music, dancing and talking on the phone with her many friends near and far. She will be missed by so many, including her granddog Nigel. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by husband, Ron; son, Chad (Jen) Keavy of Minneapolis; brother Garry (Tina) Housker of Minnetonka, many other relatives and countless friends who loved her dearly. Memorial service Thursday, March 12, 4pm at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave S, Edina. Visitation one hour prior to service. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Walker Methodist Foundation and Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter.
