Obituary of Chung Hyun Song

Song, Chung Hyun age 82, died on Monday, April 9th at Fairview Southdale Hospital. From her birth on November 15, 1935 in Suwon, South Korea to her death on Monday, she nourished those around her with her faith, love, and beauty. Chung studied nursing at Yongsei University in Seoul and married her husband of 56 years, Dr. Sang Won Song, on December 10, 1961. They moved to Philadelphia in 1966, where they lived for five decades. Chung was a devoted mother and grandmother, a talented artist, and very active in the Korean Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia as well as the Brotherhood Rescue Mission. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Sang Won Song, her son, John (Jennifer), her daughter, Kat (Chris), and her four grandchildren, Lily, Ruby, Oliver and Jules. She will always be remembered for her deep faith, her incredible kindness, and her love of life and family. Funeral services will be held at the Korean Presbyterian Church of Minnesota at 5840 Humboldt Ave. N. In Brooklyn Center at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville.
