Annie Bell Benford, Sunrise: October 20, 1926 - Sunset: March 9, 2015, age 88 of Minneapolis, MN. Annie was born in Macon, Georgia in 1926. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe F. and Louise Allen, her husband, Woodrow, Sr., her son Michael R. Benford, daughters, Ruby Benford, Anita F. Benford, and Annette K. Goynes. She will be dearly missed and is survived by brother Joe F. Allen, Jr.; sister Marian L. Calhoun; sons: Woodrow “Woody”Benford, Jr., Ronald Benford, Darrell A. Benford, and daughter, Cynthia R. Reed; grandchildren, Samori T. Coles, Billy Reed, Jr., Marlin T. Mitchell, James Benford, Ralph Benford, Rashad D. Benford, Antonio Mitchell, Aquanette Reed, Sheba Reed, Lavell Benford, Alicia Benford and many great grandchildren. Annie was truly a good human being and a devout Christian. She touched many lives in so many positive ways. Annie B. Benford was unselfish and very giving. She was always there to comfort friends, family, and neighbors in their time of need, pain, sorrow, lost, or illness. During her childhood Annie Bell, her brother and sister would sing religious songs on the local radio station in Macon, GA. Her faith and family were the number one concerns in her life. She was an amazing mother, a good wife, a great grandmother, a loyal friend, a good neighbor, a beautiful lady and a good American citizen. Annie was indeed a special human being. She will be missed by many. Services will be held Wednesday, March 18, at 1:00 pm at the First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445 with visitation 1 hour before.
