Benton, Melvin T. June 23rd, 1924 - March 21st, 2015 age 90 of Park Rapids, MN, passed away on March 21st 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota. Melvin was born on June 23rd, 1924 to Merton and Viola Benton. Melvin was in the Navy in World War II. He was united in marriage to Alberta Leckner on April 17th, 1954. He was preceded in death by his wife Alberta; parents; Merton and Viola Benton; brother Herbert; sister Ethel. Melvin will be lovingly remembered by his children: Wayne Pearson, Teri Thompson, Mark (Linda) Benton, Ron Benton, John (Luann) Benton; brothers: Bruce Benton, Donny (Bev) Benton; sister: Phyllis: 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchil-dren.
