Heinzen, Richard S. 98, of Cross Lake, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22 at Lake Ridge Care Center, Buffalo, MN. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Richard always had a twinkle in his eye, a smile on his face and a great sense of humor, loved to tell jokes and make everyone smile. He enjoyed living up North in his retirement years, and loved his Cross Lake friends like they were his family. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Betty and granddaughter, Nicole. Richard will be missed by his son, Michael Heinzen (Audrey); daughter, Marcia (Tom) Plotnik; brother, Ray Heinzen (Harriet); grandchildren, Brandon (Sue) Heinzen, Megan (Mark) Kuzinski, Jessica (Jason) Holmer, Heather (Tim) Vanderlinde and Ryan Plotnik; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Jake, Emma, Jonah, Landon Claire, Natalie, and Nick; and many friends. A celebration of life will be held at the Cross Lake Legion, Cross Lake, MN on Saturday, May 16, 2015 1:00 -4:00 pm.
