Obituary of Stephen Mark Blacik

Blacik, Stephen Mark Age 64, died peacefully on March 23 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale, after a long battle with multiple ailments. He was a man of prodigious intelligence, broad interests, and diverse talents. His motto was the Latin maxim, "De gustibus non est disputandum" (translated very loosely, "To each his own"). He was a dedicated father who made the most of every minute spent with his family. Preceded in death by parents, Magdalen and Raymond Blacik. Survived by loving daughters, Lauren and Erin Blacik; ex-wife and close friend, Ann Hoagland; sister, Mary Helen (Donald) Dunlop; brothers, Raymond (Jean), Lawrence (Sharon), Michael (Judy), and Gregory; nieces, Dana, Rayanne, Amy, Emily, Aurore, and Victoria; many cousins, co-workers, and friends. Memorial service to be held at Earle Brown Heritage Center (6155 Earle Brown Drive) in Brooklyn Center on Saturday, March 28 with 10am visitation, 11am service, reception to follow at same location. Memorials preferred to Saint Agnes School.
