Obituary of Audrey Baker
Audrey Baker passed away March 23, 2015.
Audrey Baker was born on April 6, 1922 in Duluth. She was the youngest of five children born to Anna and Hjalmar Evanson.
Audrey married that handsome sailor, Harold Baker in 1946 and they were married for 68 years. Audrey worked at Elliot Packing Company, Chromaglo, and with her husband at Whitemarsh Mink Farm in Gnesen Township. She moved with Harold to Sebring, Fla., in 1989 and spent many happy years there. She and Harold returned to Duluth in 2008. She enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, fishing and all kinds of animals. She had an excellent sense of humor and could perform gymnastics well into her 80s.
She was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Johnson, Alice Rindal, Lorraine Orcott and brother, Floyd Evanson.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; daughter, Jeanne Ahlin (Denny) of Duluth and son, Lynn Baker, of St. Cloud, Fla.; grandchildren Jenna Carter, Adrienne Baker, Christopher Baker and several great-grandchildren.
