Obituary of Raymond Dale Petersen

Petersen, Raymond Dale Age 83, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully March 25, 2015 of pancreatic cancer. Ray was a retired science teacher who was a great story teller, loved the outdoors, fishing, traveling and the Arizona desert. Above all else, Ray was a man who cherished his family, was close to God and had many friends. Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Shirley; children, Julie Matz (Petersen), Cindy (Mike) Lukecart and Tim (Myrna) Petersen; grandchildren, Nick (Jenna) Lukecart, Ben Lukecart, Jacob Matz and Sarah Matz; sister, Carol (Clair) Iverson; in-laws, Vern and Char Schmidt; nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Memorial service 3 PM Sun., March 29 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 8400 France Ave. S., Bloomington. Visitation 2 PM and reception following service. Memorials preferred and will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Cremation Society of MN (952-924-4100).
