Obituary of Barbara J. Riebel

Riebel, Barbara J. (Steffl) 84 of Bloomington, originally from Sleepy Eye passed away April 11th. Barbara is preceded in death by parents Harold and Beatrice; husband Neil; brothers Leo, Jim, David and Greg; sisters Mary and Diane; great grandson Teagan. Barb was truly one of a kind. A beautiful soul that believed that all people be treated equally and she carried that out every day of her life. She lived life with an unconditional love for all that had the pleasure to know her. Her door was always open for any and everyone whenever they may have needed her for a simple hello or to talk for hours over a cup of coffee. Her hand was always out stretched to help in any way that she could. She was a hard working woman and took great pride in her years of service to McGlynn's bakery. Her house was the meeting place for great conversation, good food and endless love. She was always ever so present in the lives of those she loved. Taking great pride in being the oldest sibling of 8, going on to raising 6 wonderful kids of her own and helping and enhancing the lives of grandchildren, great grands, and other friends that were like family. Her presence will be missed tremendously. Barb is survived by six children, daughter Rebecca (Dale) Ronning, Rachel Kuppe, Robert (Peg) Riebel Rick Riebel, Roxanne (Tom) Heino, Russ (Deb) Riebel, 11 grandchildren Jake, Bryan, Cameron, Jessika, Trevor, Chantal, Kyle, Keaton (Haylee), Emma, Audrey, Allison; 6 great grandchildren Carter, Jayda, Harlow, Micah, Ruby, Wynter; brother Tom Steffl; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Service Saturday, April 21st at 3pm at Cremation Society of MN, 4343 Nicollet Ave., Mpls. Visitation one hour prior. In lieu of memorials please send gifts to St. Jude Children's Research.
