Obituary of Clinton James Johnson
This summer the Island Lake, NE Birch Isle, cabin will be missing one of its biggest fans; Clinton "Ned" James Johnson passed away April 1, 2015, in the late evening at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his three children and wife. He was 70 years old.
Clint was a member of the IBEW 242 and was a "nearly retired" electrical contractor with Electric Systems of Duluth. His favorite hobbies were hanging out at the shop garage with his many friends and clients that would stop by to say "hi", reading countless books in the peace and quiet of his cabin, or digging dirt with his backhoe and digger.
Clint is survived by his wife, Patricia Diane of Duluth; son, Clinton R. (Jennifer) Johnson of Duluth; daughters, Amanda T. (Scott) Wirta of Grand Rapids and Emily L. (David) Wigg of Munger; and five grandchildren, Mariah, Zachary, and Andrew Johnson, Ashton "A.J." Wigg, and Quinn Wirta.
Clint's presence will be missed but always felt as springtime comes to the lake.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Mr. D's Bar & Grill 5622 Grand Ave Duluth will be held to honor Clint's memory. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota, 218-624-5200
