Obituary of John Bartholomew Lufkin
John Bartholomew Lufkin, 49, passed away April 16, 2015 in Duluth.
He was autistic and had epilepsy, the latter which claimed his life as he slept.
John graced many lives with his abundant good cheer, his ability to make friends, and his way of carrying out many activities in spite of his handicaps. His fondness for picture puzzles, Star Trek personalities, his Mickey Mouse from Disney World, art projects and walking were constants in his life. He created many precious drawings and paintings.
From the age of nine he lived in Minnesota with his parents, then under the care of Northwoods Children's home in Duluth and later, Lee Foster Care and Choice Unlimited day program in Duluth.
He is survived by his parents Ann and Edward, and his sister, Martha.
The love and care, patience, laughter and guidance bestowed on him by his many staff were truly remarkable. John's family offers particular gratitude to these staff and to his physicians, dentists and nurses.
