Obituary of Victor Francis Loke
Victor Francis Loke, Duluth, M N and formally of Biwabik, MN, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015, 29 days after the death of his beloved wife Rose, surrounded by family at St. Luke’s Hospice in Duluth, MN. Vic was born on May 26, 1926 to Charles and Rosalie (Schapnes) Loke in Marshall, M N. He married Rose Mary Pelzel on October 3 0, 19 51 in Heron Lake, MN. Victor served in the U S Army Infantry in Korea during 1951- 1952. Up on moving to the Iron Range, he was employed by Minnesota Power in Hoyt Lakes, M N and retire d from there with 35 years of service. He and Rose enjoyed 26 wonderful years of retirement. Vic loved to hunt, fish, spend time at the cabin, cut wood, listen to Twins and Vikings games, and enjoyed the company of family and friends. Vic was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 63 years, Rose, two daughters, Mary Kay and Rosalie, one son, Robert and uncle, Albert Loke. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Loke (Michael McConnell) of Duluth, MN and numerous cousins and their families. A joint Memorial Service for Vic and Rose will be held at a future date.
