Obituary of Esther B. Carlson
Esther B. Carlson, 101, of Hermantown, formerly of Superior, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 22, 2015, while at Edgewood Vista.
She was born on March 2, 1914 in Crookston, Minn. to Gust and Bertha Arneson. At the age of four she moved to Superior where she live for most of her life.
Esther enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards and being with her family. Esther attended Hope Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents; brothers, Henry and Clarence Arneson; and a sister, Myrtle Arceneau.
Esther is survived by two sons, William (Mary) of Appleton, Wis. and Raymond of Superior, daughter, Joan (Ed) Safford of Duluth; six granddaughters, Ann (Dan) Collins and Liz Carlson all of Appleton, Wis., Kris Vesel of Duluth, Sheri Carlson of Minneapolis, Minn., Kay (Carey) Goldberg of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Renae (Jon) Clark of Blaine, Minn.; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Esther Kildahl of Superior; and several nieces and nephews.

Gathering of family and friends from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Tuesday, April 28 at Hope Church, 1827 Wyoming Ave., Superior. Inurnment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Superior.
