Jeanne Heim

Obituary of Jeanne Ingrid Heim

Jeanne Ingrid Heim passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15th, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Jeanne was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved spending time with her family and travelling. She also had an adoration for animals, especially dogs. She was born on October 10, 1924 in Duluth, Minnesota to Knute and Ivy Johnson. After she graduated from Denfeld High School in 1943, she worked as the Buyer in the Glove Department at Glass Block department store until she got married and had children. In the 70s, Jeanne took the job as Buyer for the St. Luke's Hospital Gift/Coffee Shop. After many years, she retired to spend time with family, work in her yard and travel. Jeanne had a big heart and a deep loyalty to those she loved, and in return was loved deeply by everyone who knew her. She will be missed dearly. She is survived by her daughters Jayme (Paul Conito) Heim and Jody Nelson, her grandchildren Nolan (Sarah) Beron, A.J. Beron, Jennifer (Brian) Prudhomme, Cole (Beth) Nelson, Bennett Nelson, 5 great grandchildren, sister Carol Thompson, sister Marilyn Campetti, sister-in law Lynn Johnson, and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at St. Luke's Hospice for helping us keep her at home for as long as we did. Also, thank you to the staff at Diamond Willow Memory Care for the wonderful compassionate end of life care mother received. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date for immediate family.
