Obituary of Beverly Jean Oltmanns

Beverly Jean (Anderson) Oltmanns, 84, of Proctor, passed away peacefully with her family at her side Saturday, May 16, 2015, while at Solvay Hospice House. She was born Jan. 11, 1931 in Duluth. She was a 1948 graduate of Denfeld High School. On Jan. 19, 1951 Beverly married John Oltmanns. Beverly was an avid skier and golfer. She enjoyed knitting, reading, her ladies card club, traveling and family gatherings. She and John spent winters in Florida enjoying the beach. Beverly was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Anderson and a brother, Russell Anderson. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John; daughter, Debra Northrup and her children, Christopher (Becky) Parrington, Mathew (Ashley) Parrington and Benjamin Parrington; daughter, Heide (Terry) Otis and their daughter, Jessica Otis; son, Jeffrey Oltmanns and his son, Jonathan Oltmanns; daughter, Dana Oltmanns-Seguin and her children, Zachary Seguin and Grayson Seguin; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family extends a special thank you to the staffs of Lakeshore and Solvay Hospice House for the care and comfort they gave Beverly and her family. GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Thursday, May 21, in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth, 218-624-5200. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
