Obituary of James W. Novak

James W. “Jimbo” Novak, 75, of Superior, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. James was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin on April 4, 1940. After high school he enlisted and served in the US Navy. James spent the majority of his career as a truck driver. He was proud to have driven through all 50 states. James liked to tinker on cars and anything else with an engine as well as making trips to the casino. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family. James is survived by his wife JoAnn (Earls) Novak of 40 years of Superior; sister Joyce Novak of Montana; 11 children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Essentia Hospice for all of the extraordinary care they provided James. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 pm until the 5 pm memorial service on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
