Obituary of Kathleen Nelson

NELSON (Boulton), Kathleen “Kay”, age 76, of Anoka, passed away at home on May 22, 2015. St. Margaret’s Academy, Class of 1957. Worked at Metropolitan Life for 30 years and worked for 14 years for the Franciscans. Preceded in death by her parents, John Boulton, Myrtle Peterson (Thorsten “Pete”); brother, Donald W. Boulton; grandson, Brandon Michael Earl Siekkinen. She will be deeply missed by her children, Lisa (Tim) Mathias, Karin (Duane) Siekkinen, Jill (George) Wells; grandson, Jesse Siekkinen; many relatives and good friends. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the MHVI for their compassionate care. Kay loved helping people. She volunteered at Loaves and Fishes for 28 years. Loved to travel, dance, garden. Loved to love. Her strong faith in God guided her through her wonderful life on this earth and on to Heaven. Loved by many friends and family, we will miss you dearly. Visitation 5-8pm Monday, June 1 at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park (763-560-3100). Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, June 2nd 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka with visitation at church 1 hour before service. www.cremationsocietyofmn.com
