Obituary of John R. Lindseth
Lindseth, John R. age 94, of Minneapolis, passed away on May 22, 2015. He was born in Watkins, MN. Preceded in death by Helen, his wife of 65 years, parents, and five siblings. Survived by sister, Lindy (Orfield); children, Mary (Mike Stock), Mike (Karlene), & Greg (Georgine); grandchildren, Matt (Anna), Mark, Melissa, Jessica (Jason Becker), Nicole, Krista and Kimberly; great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Mason. John was a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Pacific during WWII. John had a successful 30 year career at Prudential Insurance. After retirement John volunteered for many years at Our Lady of Good Counsel Cancer Home. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grand-father, uncle, cousin and a dear friend to many. One of his greatest joys in life was getting together with family and friends where he told many stories and was the life of the party. John was a devout Catholic and shared his many gifts with all. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 1st at 10:30 AM, St. Peter's Catholic Church, 6730 Nicollet Ave South, Richfield. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Luncheon to follow. Interment on Tuesday, June 2nd at 1:00 PM, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Macular Degeneration Foundation.
