Obituary of Judith Ann Patton
Judith Ann (Hage) Patton passed peacefully at home on Saturday, May 23, 2015.
Judy was born and raised in Hermantown and graduated as a Hermantown Hawk in 1960. She married her best friend, Earl Patton, on July 8, 1960, who she lived with and loved for 40 years and 4 days.
Judy had a full and wonderful life during which she traveled to Spain to visit her son, Jim, and to the “Old Country,” Finland, where she met many cousins. She spent long summers at the lake in Melrude and traveled throughout Minnesota to attend her grandchildren’s school events and spend time with them, as a grandmother does.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; father, Tracy Hage; sister, Nancy Listiak and brother, Tracy Hage, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Julie (Lyle Marshall) Patton, Jane (Mike, Sr.) Carlson, son, James (Stephanie) Patton and Jennifer Patton Lawson; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her mother, Elma Hage; sister, Mary (Jerry) Hallsten; brother-in-law, Dick Listiak and sister-in-law, Deb Hage; her three very best friends, Barbara Anderson, Julie Eliason and Gloria Tomlin; last but not least, her canine companion, Lil.
Special thank you to the St. Luke’s Hospice Team, especially Stephanie Marshall, who helped us care for mom during her last weeks at home.
Gathering of family and friends from 11:00am until the 11:30am memorial service Saturday, May 30th at Elim Lutheran Church, 6101 Cody St., Duluth. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota, 218-624-5200.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s name to Duluth Animal Allies are appreciated.
